Description

EDIT 1: Welcome to v1.1/5.26.2011! This version fixes the problem with the custom globe logos not showing up. Major thanks to *HarmonicSonic for alerting me to the issue and for being a test mule for two different builds of the skin, as I struggled to get Fantasma Blue working. If you've got any more issues, let me know in the form of a comment.

The Wikipedia Mega-Pack: Three Skins in One!

Man, did this one ever take a long time. Wikipedia is chock full of surprises, with all sorts of hidden pages and whatnot. I tried to get as many hidden pages fixed up as I could, and I'm sure there are a few I've missed, but if so, those will come in a later update.

This skin features some huge changes from the regular Wikipedia, as you can see. The first thing you will notice (besides the black background) are the gradients in the headers and sub-headers, which, to my knowledge, are the first gradients ever used in Wikipedia headers. The next big changes are the globe logos: each skin features a custom globe logo to fit the theme. And then there are the links, which glow when hovered over.

Downloading and installing

Because this is one massive DOCX file separated into three separate skins, the downloading and installing is a little bit different. As always, first you'll need Stylish (unless you just want to edit your Firefox userContent.css file, which is much harder). Then, after you hit the download button, you'll need to find the skin you want. Next, click and drag until you've selected all the skin's code (the skins will be separated by the following text: /*END [first skin's name]; START [next skin's name]*/).

After that, the steps are basically the same as always. Hit the Stylish icon (the little S in the bottom right of the browser) and select "Write new style>For wikipedia.org". A window will pop up with the text

@namespace url([link]);

@-moz-document domain("www.wikipedia.org") {

}

Select that text, then right click and select "Paste". Next, name it after whatever skin you chose, and you're done!

But I can't don't want to do all that!

In that case, simply click this link and hit "Install with Stylish". Easy, huh?

As a word of caution, I wouldn't paste the entire thing into one big stylesheet. It should default to Linux Green in that instance, but since there are so many selectors overruling each other, things could get weird. Also, it will have errors in parsing the namespace URL indicators for the last two stylesheets. This is harmless, though, because Firefox will ignore these namespace URL indicators and refer back to the first one.

And one last, very important thing: you MUST have a Wikipedia account, and you MUST have "New Features" DISABLED for this skin to work properly. To do this, log in, go to "Preferences>Appearance" and select Monobook. I'll try to include "New Features"-friendly versions in a future update, but no guarantees, as Wikipedia has changed their class names around a lot.

Screenshots

I decided to do only two screenshots because a) most pages look very similar and b) these are usually the only pages you'll see.

(Only one problem I'm noticing - that globe logo in the top right isn't showing up when I have the theme enabled, but I guess that's a pretty minor thing.)
